Details of the SICHERHEIT 2015 trade fair, which will be held in Zurich, have been announced. The leading event for safety and security professionals in Switzerland will mark its 20th anniversary this year when it takes place from 10 to 13 November 2015.
When Switzerland’s very first trade fair on safety and security was held back in 1976, a modest number of exhibitors took the brave, forward-looking and shrewd decision to present their wares to a highly interested expert audience. Almost 40 years and 19 trade fairs later, SICHERHEIT has developed into the most important meeting place for the Swiss safety and security industry. The last SICHERHEIT event in 2013 attracted 224 corporate exhibitors and around 10,000 visitors – 90 per cent of whom were industry professionals and key decision-makers.
The attributes which still characterise this trade fair – and therefore its exhibitors too –are the only thing that has remained unchanged right from the start: after all, it is only thanks to enterprising exhibits, pioneering products and services and shrewd planning that SICHERHEIT has become what it is today: the most important and most comprehensive showcase for the safety and security industry in Switzerland.
A landmark trade fair
When it takes place for the 20th time from 10 to 13 November 2015, SICHERHEIT will once again feature a number of world premieres, ground-breaking inventions and the latest trends and developments. “The safety and security industry has to be able to respond increasingly quickly to technological advances and changing social conditions,” says Show Director Heinz Salzgeber. “Faced with more complex challenges and a growing demand for information, the industry is becoming more dynamic. We have therefore always made a conscious effort to maintain existing elements while incorporating new and forward-looking ones too. The 20th anniversary event will be no exception.”
A specialist conference with a successful track record
As always, one of the core, tried-and-tested features of SICHERHEIT 2015 will be the SICHERHEIT specialist conference, which is usually attended by over 1,000 people. Based on a well-balanced mix of theoretical principles and practical examples, the high-calibre speakers offer valuable tips for day-to-day practice. The conference is divided into half-day modules, covering a wide variety of topics and allowing people to visit both the trade fair and the conference on the same day. SAVE AG – a galledia Group company – is responsible for planning and organising the specialist conference. A detailed programme will be released in June 2015 on www.save.ch, where it will be continuously updated.
Special exhibition on natural hazards
Nowadays, companies and safety and security officers are expected to take natural hazards into account too when it comes to planning and managing their properties and infrastructures. This places demands not only on businesses, but also on public authorities, insurance providers, emergency services and every single individual concerned. The special exhibition for this anniversary year is entitled “Managing the risks posed by natural hazards” and, as at previous SICHERHEIT trade fairs, it will offer these participants a chance to build networks, share knowledge and experience and keep up to date with the latest developments in practice. Experts on hazards will put forward their views on various aspects of this topic area in the open forum, which will be supplemented with an accompanying exhibition featuring well-known companies and their products. The special exhibition has already gained the support of some of the industry’s top organisations. Egli Engineering AG will once again take care of planning and implementing the special exhibition in 2015.
Strong industry support
Various associations and organisations have accredited the SICHERHEIT specialist conference as an advanced training event, while the trade fair also enjoys the support of major professional bodies and industry leaders: the SES (Association of Swiss Security System Builders), VSSB (Association of Swiss Lock and Hardware Fabricants), swiss safety (Association of Swiss PPE Suppliers) as well as the SSI (Swiss Association of Independent Security Engineers and Advisers) are all supporting SICHERHEIT 2015.
